Please ensure you don’t skip any steps, as failure to complete a step may compromise the security of your tokens. Additionally, please do not send any tokens to your desktop wallet address until you’ve completed all the steps below.

Step 1:
Download the HSR wallet for your respective operating system from here: https://github.com/HcashOrg/Hshare/releases

Note: Ensure that you allow this program to communicate on both public and private networks (see picture below).

Step 4:
Set a passphrase and encrypt your wallet.

Note: Do this by selecting ‘Settings’, ‘Encrypt wallet’, and then by entering in a password. Please physically write your password down and don’t share it with anyone. After you encrypt your wallet, it will shut down. After it shuts down, reopen it by once again opening the ‘hshare-qt.exe’ file.

Step 5:
Backup your wallet.

Note: Do this by selecting ‘File’, ‘Backup wallet’, and then naming your backup and placing it in a safe place. Please ensure that you keep the file type as a .dat. Additionally, we recommend backing up your wallet after every transaction, as to ensure the safety of your tokens.
